After a promising beginning with top singles both as featured artist in Flo Rida's "Right Round" and her own "Tik Tok," Ke$ha's debut album has reached No. 1. Fair enough, because Animal is a good collection of very different songs.
She sounds like a mixture of Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry who successfully blends party songs with provocative lyrics, like in "Dinosaur" and "Blah Blah Blah."
Many songs are much better than the overly popular "Tik Tok." The dance hit "Take It Off" is a favorite and the whole album has a high standard. It's stuffed to the brim with electric beats and booming bass that make it a great party album.
If Ke$ha can keep coming up with the catchy novelties and the unique style that she's become famous for, she might have a future and not just become a one-album wonder.
