Five Times August's 'Brighter Side'

In their sophomore album "Brighter Side," Five Times August once again provides listeners with heartfelt song lyrics.

"Overrated" and "The Good Life," the first single from the album, are perfect songs to listen to while driving down the coast or a walking to class on a sunny day in Santa Barbara.

Lead singer Brad Skistimas returns providing another soulful and catchy pop album after his previous album, "The Independent." The tracks "Sunrise" and "Sentimental Spell" pair melodic lyrics with guitar, creating a mellow rock and acoustic sound.

"Brighter Side" truly captures an authentic sound that has been lost in mainstream media.

If you have never heard Five Times August but you enjoy Jack Johnson, then this CD is worth listening to.
