Today's society is too caught up in the lives of celebrities

I feel that we as a society have a tendency to be too interested in famous people instead of paying attention to what's going on in the world. Anna Nicole Smith died on Feb. 8, and every day since her death we get new headlines about the case, "WHO IS THE FATHER OF HER NEWBORN DAUGHTER?
