New informational research director hired

Starting Dec. 1, Dr. Darla M. Cooper will be acting as the new director of Evaluation, Research, Planning and Institutional Advancement at City College.
"We are looking forward to her coming on board," said Joe Sullivan, vice-president of Business Services. "We were very impressed with her and very happy when she was selected."
Currently serving at Oxnard College as the director of institutional research, Cooper was previously employed as director of research and planning at Ohlone College in Freemont, Calif.. Cooper was a counselor for student services. She graduated from University of Southern California and earned a doctorate in higher education and master's in college student personal services. She earned her bachelor's in psychology from San Diego State University. Cooper was chosen from a total of six applicants and was selected after the field was narrowed to two.
